Shall I renew Home Insurance in Jun if I plan to sell in Sep?

Hi All,

I am going to sell the house in Sep. No idea how long would it take to sell, hopefully within half year? What shall I do with the home insurance which will be expired in Jun? Shall I renew for another one year then transfer to the buyer? Or renew half year?

Thanks

Pilar

Renew. Once the house sells cancel it. The buyer will purchase their own coverage.

Depending on your policy you should get a refund for some or all of the unused portion. Your insurance agent can give you the specifics.
