Where would you look to do basic title search yourself?
I'm looking to purchase a foreclosed home at an auction. I'm trying to find out if there are any liens on the property. Between the county recorder's office and the county clerk's office, I've been able to search for the following:
- Mortgage liens
- IRS liens
- Property tax liens
- Mechanic's liens
- Bankruptcy
- Child Support
- Alimony
- Small Claims
Are there other liens for which you'd look?
Or other offices--apart from the recorder and clerk--that you'd check for liens like those above?
Thanks!
