San Antonio: hard to rent & sale 2 bedroom homes?

I'm looking at buying a 2 bed, 1bath house but some family members who do REI advised against it. In their experience, they had a higher turn over of tenants/vacancy and it took longer to sale once they tried to sell it. They were in Corpus so IDK if the same thing would apply in the San Antonio market. Any thoughts and input?

I've heard the same.  My only 2/1 had a converted garage with ducted AC that makes an extra room.  It's not a legal bedroom but not marketed as such either.  It's been a good rental but only had it a little over a year.  Any opportunities to change it to a 3/1?  Just a thought.

It does make sense that the market may be smaller for a house that size.  Let us know what you decide.

Best of luck!

Will
