Anyone buy an investment property in the burbs of Chicago lately?

Hey all,

Just curious if anyone has bought any investment properties in the western suburbs of Chicago lately? If so, just curious as to what deal you were able to land. What towns are you looking at? Any other info welcome. I'm trying to land my first investment property out here.

@Rick Pinney That's great! I've looked in Melrose Park and there's tons of multi-family properties for sale there. I'm just a bit weary of the neighborhood/lower rents. I actually grew up in Melrose Park on Lake St/24th. Did you buy a two flat and rent 1 floor out? What kind of rent are you getting from your tenant?

Oddly enough, I live in Addison right now. Right near Mill Rd/Army Trail. What a small world. I wasn't aware of any special rules in Addison. Can you elaborate more on those? Always looking to learn.
