paying for home improvements with 1031 exchange
I want to put 25K worth of upgrades into my condo prior to selling in order to gain a better sale price. I don't want to pay cash for these improvements because I'm doing a 1031 exchange with this property. My realtor is willing to work with me and possibly pay for the improvements prior to sale and get refunded after? Does this work and is it legal?
