Found a mentor in AZ that we know personally

HI,

Even though my husband and I were originally thinking of looking in MI to start out.  A friend of ours who is investing in AZ has offered to help us get started there. We have met before, and know him personally. We have talked on the phone often, as well as chatted on Messenger. He is from the same area as us.  Now, we're seriously thinking of looking in AZ, instead.  I have often heard of how important it is to find someone who you can trust to help you start out.. so this is important.   It is the first positive step toward investing... even though it is in the opposite direction.  What I'm wondering is if this alone should be enough to base a decision on.
