Anyone with Experience Buying Farmland?

Does anyone have experience buying cropland? My wife and I are wanting to acquire land in the country that still produces income, but I have not found many current resources for evaluating land that you are not going to develop into a subdivision. The minimum acreage we are looking at is 50 acres, and we are located in Kentucky.

Thanks for any advice you have!

Unless you plan on farming it yourself, I would recommend getting in touch with farmers as opposed to real estate investors because they will better be able to help you calculate yields and the amount of rent that should be paid or the share of the crop that you should get.
