VA loan and FHA loan complicated question

Hey everyone, so i have kind of a complicated question that i havent been able find the answer to on my own, so I'm hoping someone can help!

So my husband and i are legally married and he is active duty in the Air Force and I am not. We currently have one house and it is with a VA loan, but it is only his name on the loan and not mine. We are wanting to buy a rental property and i was wondering if i could use a FHA loan by myself, since I'm not on the VA loan, to get a multi family home. Obviously i would go live in the rental property for the first year and i understand that my husband would have to remain in the VA loan house due to the VA loan requiring him to live in the home.

Do you think this would be possible? Thoughts? thanks!

-Jacob
