Buying A Real Estate with Delinquent Taxes

I have the opportunity to buy some real estate property thru a buddy of mine, title in hand but she hasn't paid property taxes in the past 5 years. Will she be able to transfer ownership of the property to me with unpaid taxes?? I am willing to take over her property tax delinquency & make payments on it monthly until it is paid off in full.

As mentioned they would need to be paid off at the transfer. What you could do is an option contract or contract for deed whereas you take over the property and then begin paying. I would also confirm with the County that they will accept a payment plan as in most instances once they become past a certain point they send them to tax sale, so definitely talk to the county
