How do I find out property tax amount for properties in Seattle?

Question

Looking at properties in Kings County ( Seattle Area). How do I find out how much the property taxes are? Also looking at properties in these cities below any help would be appreciated.

I'm here because of my "White Center" keyword alert :-)

I've lived in White Center for the past 25 years.  I don't mind when people say, "Stay away from White Center!" because I'm okay if you guys just leave the deals to me ^_^

I was surprised when Account Closed said White Center is where a lot of crime is, but says Lakewood is not bad.  I've flipped in both areas, and I've had much more bad things happen to my flips in Lakewood than White Center.

But everything is relative, right?  If you're coming from Bellevue, White Center is a horrific place.  If you're coming from East Tacoma, White Center isn't so bad.  And if you're coming from Chicago...

Anyway, I love White Center.  It has changed a lot from 30 years ago when babies were getting run over on the street (or so I've heard).  It's a very convenient place to live, and right at the edge of Seattle.  Everything I want is within a 10-15 minute drive (airport, malls, etc) because you can easily access 5-6 different freeways.

Account Closed  Centralia floods LOL...  Longview/Kelso  is Cowlitz county...  that list is half the western state..

OP   look at Klickitat tons of low value properties there that could probably be bought for tax's

I think your question's been answered on the property taxes. County websites have them, real estate search sites usually have them as well and are easier to navigate.

I use Zillow to look at county data.  Some of the cities you mentioned are not in King County.  But it doesn't matter with Zillow.  Just enter the address in, scroll down to "Price / Tax History", and you can see it there.  But that may not show the 2017 / 2018 taxes.  However, Zillow provides a link directly to the property's page on the county website, and from there you can get the latest Property Tax Bill.

Using Zillow to navigate to the county's website is a lot easier than going to the county website itself because then you don't have to deal with knowing which county the property is in or what the parcel number is.

If you search for the words "crime" and a city name you'll find stories like that in most places.  Either way, I don't mind if people stay away from this area and leave more of the deals for me :-)

But unfortunately (and fortunately), people aren't staying away.  We've had 1-1.5 months inventory for at least the past couple of years.  My zip code 98146 has appreciated 14.1% in the last 12 months, and the house I bought here 4 years ago for $330k is now worth $580k.  But still one of the most affordable spots left in Seattle.

Paul Tapia, 45, was injured in the Jan. 6 shooting that killed Jose Garcia Jr. Tapia died the following day.

A second man has died in a Jan. 6 shooting outside a White Center Bar.

Paul Tapia, 45, died Jan. 7 from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Tapia  and Jose Garcia Jr., 51, were shot around 1 a.m. in the parking lot of  the Taradise Cafe, in the 9800 block of 16th Avenue South West.

Garcia, who also was shot in the head, died at the scene.

Redfin has the previous years taxes and that will be close. White Center is where a lot of crime is. Lakewood is not bad, there is a college nearby so it is good for rentals. Longview/Kelso is depressed since logging was shut out because of the Spotted Owls. Port Angeles is a lot out of the way and several hours to any sizable city. You would be looking for people familiar with the area to rent to and the economy is not robust. Federal Way is interesting since it is between Seattle & Tacoma. I suppose Federal Way & Puyallup & Tacoma if you can find the right properties would be pretty good choices. I like Port Orchard but people have a nasty commute to Tacoma to work so maybe/maybe not type of thing.  Yakima is not good at this point. I like Centralia but too far to Seattle or Portland to be a major choice. I would stay outside of the Seattle city limits because the Seattle City Council has no regard for property rights and you are likely to regret investing in the city. Edmonds/Lynnwood/Shoreline not a bad choice if you find the right property.
