Seller Didn't Disclose Tenant Move Out Prior to Close of Escrow
Hello!
I just closed on my first investment property. Woohoo! It's an eight unit apartment building in Oklahoma City. It was offered as a fully rented/occupied building. I closed on January 5th, but on January 1st, one of the renters moved out. It wasn't notified that one of the renters had given notice and subsequently moved out. I did not receive a last month's rent for January, as that was paid in December.
Question: Do I have any recourse for recouping January's pro-rated rent for that unit? (Pro-rated in that at close, I received rents for all other units, minus five days, which went to the seller.). The rent for that unit was $810/mo.
Sidebar note: I'm in contract to close in early February with the same seller on a four unit building in the same city.
Many thanks,
Eric

Its a non issue. Tenants move out all the time. Fill the unit and move on.
