Are banks not handing out 20yr and 30yr deals anymore?
I just purchased another duplex and asked for a 20 year. Best they could offer was a 5/2 ARM and it's not my first loan there. I suspect the banks know the Prime is about to jump. Is the cheap money gone? I know it sounds odd but I can't imagine paying 6%-7% again. Higher interest can hold down the glorious march forward of appreciation. Has anyone else seen hesitation in lenders?
