Investing in Puerto Rico Real Estate - Neighborhoods, Financing

Curious if anyone has info on Puerto Rico Real after the hurricane. Are there good values? Also, does anyone know of lenders? Is it mostly an Airbnb play or will properties cash flow with regular rentals too?

Any advice on the Puerto Rico Real Estate landscape would be much appreciated.

Hi Dan,

I'm a local lender here on the island. Ultimately it depends on where you are looking to buy here but there are plenty of good values still. Airbnb plays a major role for the tourist areas still, but there is still great cash flow potential on regular rentals as well.

I will share that I have had a number of my clients that own rental properties report to me that they have been contacted by FEMA for generous leasing periods for relief workers that are coming in waves, as we are still in clean up mode in some areas. More and more volunteers will be coming over the course of 2018 and they all need short term housing as well....and not just in tourist areas.

Plenty of inventory here so in my opinion now is a good time to consider investing in PR.
