College Student Looking to Enter Real Estate Market

Hey guys, I'm 19 and just joined Bigger Pockets, I really want to get my hands dirty and invest in a multi-family property. Ideally I would love to live in one of the units while renting out the others but living in Los Angeles that can be difficult since properties are so high here. I was thinking of looking out of state but there are many more issues that can arise with that. If anyone has some tips on how to start investing in the market at my age with very little money I would really appreciate it.
