Your Favorite 4 Midwest Cities in 2018?

I'm considering investing in the Midwest. With all the available options going into 2018, which cities or towns are your favorite 4 (+/-) prospects in that area and why?

If you're planning to invest there as well---what type of strategy will you be mainly aiming to use?

@Sarah Manshel

I am still a fan of the whole Chicago metro area. I live here in Riverside, a near southwest suburb, so I am probably biased! There are a lot of great apartment buildings locally though, and I like the proximity to the loop which will provide very attractive employment opportunities for the foreseeable future. I plan to buy apartments here provided I can find properties priced right (tough to find!). Chicago just provides a great mix between cash flow and appreciation in my opinion.

I also recently purchased a 20 unit in South Bend, Indiana. I really like that area as well as the taxes are very low and the state is business friendly. I am hoping to find more properties there as well. Again, inventory is very low.

As for other cities, I am really interested in the Quad Cities area in Iowa, and Milwaukee. I have not invested in either city as of yet.

Hope that helps. Happy investing in 2018!
