Direct Mail-Outs over the Holidays?

Matt Hoiles

Hey guys -

I'm wondering what everyone's direct mail experience has been between Thanksgiving and New Years?

Trying to work out if it's worth holding off until January or not.  Thanks in advance!

@Matt Hoiles

Our experience has been lower response rates, but it only takes 1 person to respond and a deal to happen to pay for multiple mailings.

I'd say if you could wait a little since you can't mail earlier, so that your mail doesn't get stuck in that holiday pile then you're fine. For the wholesalers that are mailing 10k+ though consistently once a month, they may not want to change their mailing schedule because when you're mailing that much, even a lower response rate for that particular mailing in your campaign isn't a big deal.

What # mailing is it in your campaign and how many are you mailing?
