Should i get ahold of property owner to buy?

So a gentleman got a hold of me last week about selling a house that was left to him and i got into the property and walked it with him. I made offer and him and his wife were happy about it and said they will get contract back to me faxed because his wife had to sign also. I talked to him multiple times and said he would be faxing over and the for sure wanna sell and i never got anything back and i called him friday a couple times to get it done before weekend said he would but never did. Should i call him again? I feel like im pushing to much or does it matter? dont wanna seem desperate and loose the deal?
