Options for buying property with judgements????

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone in the group has experience with purchasing an investment property with judgements attached? (I am in the state of Texas btw)

Basically the owners had a rental property and went credit card crazy. Since it was not their homestead property, the creditors filed judgements and attached it to the home. Some of the collections is very old and has been resold to various collections companies and law firms.

I have called the firms to negotiate but can't seem to get past a collections rep.

Any info or ideas are greatly appreciated!
