How to buy what appears to be an abandoned property?

I’ve seen a property near me that is in complete shambles. Looks like its haunted haha. But it would be a nice project. It looks completely abandoned. But rumors are, it has an owner. Does anyone know how to go about searching for the owner of a property? Thanks in advance!
