NYC boroughs - additional electrical meter installs
I'm currently looking at a multi-family (4) home that has 1 shared electrical meter (selling realtor said it was always wired that way). There is also only 2 live gas meters hooked up ... said the other lines in the basement are ready for nationalgrid to hook up a meter. Has anyone had experience in having licensed contractors work with the power company to get new ones added in for each apartment? Curious on cost estimate, complexity (does each apartment need to be completely wired) and timing.
TIA.
