How to find out who bought/sold a property and for how much?

I'd like to find out who bought a property and for how much.  I saw a deal where the last sale was for $100 on Trulia after some other prices of $110K, etc.  Is this public record?  And what's the best way to search?

Thanks.

Yes, information about home sales are public record. You can check the county assessor's website to see who bought what and for how much.
