Understanding zoning designations
Hello!
I'm having a problem understanding zoning on a property I'm looking at. When I looked up the address it came up as a RM-1-1.
"RM-1-1 permits a maximum density of 1 dwelling unit for each 3,000 square feet of lot area" The lot the house is on is 3500 square feet. Does that mean I can add a small ADU if I wanted to?
When I looked up the property on the county assessor the property says "zoning: 2". So I'm a bit confused with what this all means!
