What UK company structure is needed to invest in US Real Estate?

After months of planning and research, I have decided to take action and close a investment in US real estate before year-end. I currently reside in the UK and wish to purchase real estate through a legal entity, however I need clarity on whether a separate structure is required in the US, what this would look like, and how to set this up.

Any thoughts and comments from experience would be greatly appreciated.
