Need Info. on a Drug House
I've bought a lot of properties, but I never ran into this situation before! I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a property in Indiana I can purchase for a great price, but the police raided the home and they were selling meth out of the house. I also think they were manufacturing it there as well. This happened about a year ago. Someone said that the house has to be inspected by the state, because of the contaminants used in meth. They said I might have to tear out all the walls and basically gut the house. Does anyone know if this is true, or how I go about figuring out what I need to do to the property? Another person also told me that I better check with the state about repossession. I was told that authorities can confiscate the home. The local police said they didn't confiscate it, but don't know the status of it. I didn't see any liens on it, but I'm unsure if a confiscation would come up under liens. Any help you can give me, would be greatly appreciated.
