Buying Undeveloped Land - Where to Start

Hello,

I'm looking to buy about 3-11 acres in the Fall City, WA area. I'm wondering where to start. What types of things do I need to pay close attention to and what types of experts do I need to bring in. 

I'm hoping to develop 2 homes on the property with the potential to subdivide eventually. Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated! This is just the beginning of my research and I understand a lot needs to be looked into/evaluated prior to purchasing the land.
