Help with Podcasts on Android

Hey everyone. Does anyone have advice for running the podcasts on an android device? I listen to the podcasts on the standard BP app and it often shuts down and restarts after not engaging with the app for prolonged period of time. Also, I've listened and apparently you can speed up the playback speed to listen to more podcasts, quicker. Is there a third party app that would run the podcasts better? TIA!
