Contract Release (and/or Money Back) from Bad Guru?

Hi Everyone, does anyone here have experience with doing a release-of-contract from a bad guru, and/or getting any money back? We signed up with a "guru" a few years ago, and got assigned to one of his "coaches." Basically, we signed up for a weekend bootcamp for a couple hundred dollars, with the promise of a money-back guarantee if we weren't happy with what we learned. Well, we did like what we learned that weekend, and ended up suckered into a coaching program contract for thousands of dollars, where you pay a monthly fee basically forever until you close your first deal. We paid our exorbitant monthly fee for a while, but the "coaches" were never able to answer our questions beyond the learning materials we'd already received from that initial bootcamp, and so our progress was going nowhere. We later found out that our "coaches" (and all the other coaches, too) were merely just students who had purchased just one property, and under the oversight and presence of the guru, so they'd never even done a deal by themselves. So basically, all you end up learning for your extra thousands of dollars is exactly what you already learned for a couple hundred.

I'd love to hear from people who have dealt with contract release and/or money back from a bad guru.  Success stories, or non-success, either way your experience and advice may help us.  Thank you!
