LLC Options; How to utilize an LLC best.

I am at the point where we would like to utilize an LLC for deals on rental properties. Both Long term rentals and short term rentals. My only source of financing I have used so far says just buy it in my name and then quit claim deed it over to the LLC. I have two questions:

  1. Are there other options?
  2. Are there different financing options (better or worse) if buying in the name of an LLC?

Thanks for any feedback.
