Can you obtain both a RE license and an Appraisers License?

Hi guys. I'm an amateur RE investor. I want to expand my career in RE, so I'm debating whether to become an agent or an appraiser. Can I be bold and obtain a license for both or would it be viewed as a conflict of interest? Thanks for your feedback.
