Daytona Buy and Hold

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know which areas to avoid in Daytona?

I'm looking to buy my first property and heard that there are some serious opportunities to buy houses for 50k or less in Daytona that can be fixed up and sold for 100k. It does seem like this is the case.

The crime maps don't seem that terrible and some of the schools are actually rated really good near the homes I'm checking out. Are there any locals that can help me steer clear of the real trouble spots? Is anyone else buying these properties up?
