Real Estate sales license in two states & with two brokers?

So long story short, I live in Massachusetts and invest in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. I got my RE license recently in MA and am in the process of trying to transfer it over to CT also (so I have it in both...)

My question is: Can I have two different brokers in the 2 different states? Since my current MA broker doesn't have his CT licenses (and doesn't seem overly interested in obtaining it) I need somewhere in CT to hang my licenses but also want to keep my current broker in MA.

I've heard that it is possible but I can't seem to find any info on it

Yes its possible. You just have to make sure it is ok with both brokers. I have an MA license with 1 brokerage, and my DC/MD/VA licenses with another brokerage. My primary brokerage allowed it with the caveat that i could not have my MA license with a competitor, which meant essentially no national brokerages that also do business in the DC market.
