Is it ever too early to start selling in your real estate career?

I recently got into real estate about 3-4 months ago. Although I enjoy the job that got my foot in the door, I'm not particularly satisfied and want more. I'm currently just doing rentals and want to dive into selling and investing in property but truly have no idea where to start. I don't have thousands and thousands of dollars I can just put up or a mentor/someone to just bounce ideas off so I'm wondering am I trying to bite off more than I can chew or is this something I can be capable of now (with education of course)?
