Certified 203k Contractors in the Chicago Area

Good Morning All - I have a 4 unit building under contract in Chicago and am purchasing it with a 203k loan. Each unit will require new kitchens, baths, and cosmetic updates throughout.  I've reached out to four certified 203k GC's and only one has gotten back to me; the others no longer do 203k work.  Does anyone have any recent experience in working with a certified 203k GC that they can refer me to?

I've reached out to the following GC's;

1. Cobbelstone - Chicago

2.  Aspen Construction - Hillside

3. Sk Construction - No longer in business?

4.  Synergy Construction - No longer does 203k work.

Much appreciated,

Arturo Radilla

203k "certified" contractor means nothing, most who do 203k work are not. BTW, FHA does not certify 203k contractors......the "certification" is from some private organization, that is not recognized, nor necessary. Your Best bet is to be working with a lender who has done many 203k loans, as it is your Lender who approves your gc, not FHA. Any legit gc with the proper experience and insurances can be approved.
