Ordering a Flood Certificate
Hello, I have a property that I am looking at purchasing. The current owner has a mortgage and has never been required to have flood insurance. Some of the neighboring properties are required. Before I get any deeper into the transaction I wanted to order a flood cert so I would know up front. I tried Corelogic but it appears flood cert.com is only for lenders. Any suggestions?

Hey @Matt Daley - agree with @Jason Yarusi you can go to FEMA and figure out what the flood zone is. Your particular property may or may not be in a flood zone even if neighboring properties are. If you PM me the address I would be happy to check it out for you and let you know what flood zone the property is in.
If it is in a flood zone then you will need a current elevation certificate done by a surveyor. Depending on the results on the EC you may qualify to get the property removed from the flood zone.
