Purchasing residential lots with back taxes owed
I am purchasing a small residential lot in downtown Omaha that has a balance of back taxes owed, I have confirmed the balance with assessor. Are there any other issues I should be concerned with? Besides paying taxes and taking care of lawn are there any other items I should be aware of that fall under my responsibility? Do I need liability insurance for the lot in case someone hurts themself on the property?
Thanks!
