waterproofing certification in NJ?

Hi, I am in contract on a two family in Hudson county NJ.  Although newly renovated by the seller (who is flipping it) the inspection revealed water damage and moisture on both floors and the basement.  The new flooring and walls are already damaged.

Seller says they are going to hire a waterproofing company, fix the problems and repair the damage before closing.

My question is: can I request some sort of certification or guarantee for the waterproofing work either from the seller or the waterproofing company?  I don't want to have a problem during the first rainstorm after closing.

PS: Learning opportunity: Always schedule an inspection after heavy rain!
