Investing into Detroit, Michigan. What areas should I visit?

Hi Everyone,

Hope all is well!

I have planned a trip to Detroit, Michigan in hopes of finding some cheap Real Estate to invest in.  I do understand the standings of Detroit, however I consider myself more of a contrarian, in other words I am ready for the risk.  In addition, I am fairly young so I have time on my hands, I am willing to be patient enough to hold property(s) until the economy jumps back up.  I am a strong believer in what comes down must come up. :)

This being said, I would love to hear some advice from my fellow colleagues on areas I should be visiting.  My budget is currently minimal due to having funds tied up in different endeavors, however I believe I can still purchase one or two properties within a decent range.

If anyone has suggestions on where to look, I am open to hearing all of them!  I will be visiting for 48 hours, I hope to see as much as I can.  I will be investing at least 16-18 hours of prospecting within that time frame.

Hope to hear from you all!
