Do I show up for inspection?

So I just got my first offer accepted and I have more excitement than I know what to do with. However, I'm investing out of state and unfortunately my schedule for the next week or so is a bit hectic so I'm not sure I can move things around to be present for the home inspection. I'm wondering how vital my presence will be as a first time buyer. Due to my lack of experience I'm partially worried that I might hire an inspector who may not be incentivized to be thorough without the buyer present. But is that just paranoia? Has anyone had any bad experiences giving inspectors too much leeway?

IMO just replace the water heater. It will blow at the most inconvenient time and it will try to do the most damage and it will schedule itself to blow when all of the plumbers are on vacation. At least replace as soon as the home warranty is up regardless.
