Newbies Investing in Real State

First I would say I am newbie , In in real state investing, but Iam doing my homework, I .am sharpening mi axe .   Some  new real state investors think that they would get rich investing in real state in one day but that's not how works.  First you have to educate yourself about investing you don't have to spend thousands of dollars in those seminars like the ones they advertise on tv,I been there but I didn't give them a dime you can learn here on BP listeninig the podcasts and also there is books it don't cost you much. If you want to be successfully in real state it takes years and hard work it depends on the person everybody have different skills some are good in construction maybe you can be a rehabber. You have to make a plan that works for you and stick to your plan.  that's mi opinion any suggestions. thanks

I feel like real estate investing is widely-known yet little understood. For instance everyone has seen a flipping show on HGTV but they don't know the first thing when it comes to finding deals, calculating the numbers, making offers, closing contracts, managing the rehab and selling the home.

I feel like taking action has gotten me further towards my first deal than listening to hours of real estate content. Don't get me wrong, I love the BP podcast and I can listen to REI videos on youtube all day but I found that saw tangible results once I started driving for dollars, knocking on doors, asking postal workers to refer leads, calling FSBOs and writing yellow letters. For instance I actually visited a potential flip with a contractor. My first deal is still yet to come but it feels closer than ever before. So yeah, just get out there.

By the way, what's your plan?
