Buying from Land Banks

Hi All,

I am wondering what experiences people have had buying properties held by land banks.

Specifically, I am wondering if there have been a lot of success stories in buying and flipping distressed properties from land banks.

I am considering putting in an application for a small one-unit property in the area, but it is held by a land bank, so I figured I'd ask. Since they are quasi-governmental, I figure it is a bit of an arduous process to purchase, but maybe the BP community has some tips and pointers they could provide?

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have!
