Purchasing land from deceased owner and deceased heirs!!

I have recently discovered approximately 60 acres of land that I am interested in purchasing to turn into a homestead. After looking at the information about the property, I have found that there are no buildings on the land and that the last time taxes were paid on the property was 2009. I have looked up the owner of the land but can not find anyone by that name. I have done searches in google, ancestry, whitepages, familytreenow, geni, etc. Everything I have searched turns up nothing. I have also searched by the address that was listed for the owner. When searching by address I have found that no one has lived at that address for 2 years. When looking at who previously lived at that address I did find someone with the same last name. When looking them up though I found that they have been deceased for about 10 years at the age of 90. I then searched for this person's relatives and found that the only known son of this person is also deceased, past away at the age of 31. I cannot find anything else out about this person or even if this person is related to the person listed as the owner of the land.

I am extremely interested in this property and just don't know what to do next or even how to go about it! What can I do to get a process going to get this property?? I am in my mid twenties and feel naive about all this, but this is an opportunity for my family that I cannot pass up trying on.
