Alabama Tax Deed Assignment

Payment was recently made to the State of Alabama for a small tract of land. The State has owned it for over 5 years and there are no structures on the property. The fixed price offer letter did not specify when the deed would be issued to me.   It took 6 months to receive notice once I expressed interest in the property. How long does it usually take to receive the deed to property?  I am retired on disability and just want to find a quiet place for my husband and I to live out our lives.
