I'm looking into buying a property from the VA. I've already noticed a few qwirks like a shorter inspection period. Are there any other "gotchas" I should know about?

Thanks.

not really a gotcha but when buying from VA, retail homebuyers get priority consideration.

Also, not sure if this is a market thing but I buy VA foreclosures and the bidding period is fixed for a longer period than regular foreclosures. (like ~7 days I think)

How do you buy VA foreclosure? Do you have to be active, retired, in some way associated like via spouse in order to bid and buy?

no, but I buy houses outside of a military base, so they are in abundance there. It may just be a geographic thing. They show up on MLS like any other.
