I am curious has anybody heard of person-to-person lending for mortgages. I had a stock broker friend of mine bring up this subject yesterday as we where talking about the different forms of investments that have came about in recent years. Personally I would love to partake in person to person lending if it was secured by real estate. It would eliminate having to invest in real estate through REITs that are subject to market forces that many times go down because of no fault of their own. If anybody knows of such a site or your thoughts I would be interested in hearing them. Personally I think this would be a great way for some just starting out.
