Syndication - First Deal !

I just wanted to get some insights from the more experienced folks on here about syndication. How did you get your first investors? Is it all about the deal or they look for something else? Also, what deal structure you used?

Hi Diego,

Go to BP profile page and listen to a few of the podcast interviews there especially the two part one I did w/Kevin Bupp.  Additionally on my website you can download a free eBook on how I started raising capital for syndication.  You may find some of this helpful as a starting point.

Bigger picture: It's really 3 things: The market, deal and team.  Without experience you will have trouble with investors and lenders to start.  This is why I strongly encourage you to build a team w/experienced partners so you can leverage their credibility and experience.

Raising capital is a skill.  If you like it, then recommend reading everything you can on it and perhaps even focus on it.  You will have a leg up because all deals need money.
