Chicago Areas for Owner Occupied Opportunities
Hi all,
I'm relocating to Chicago from Pittsburgh in the near future and face the obstacle of a sharp increase in cost of living. Does anyone have any advice on reasonably priced areas in which to rent that would be appealing to a young professional (mid 20s)?
In addition to the possibility to renting, I'm very interested in the opportunity to buy a duplex and do an Owner Occupied kind of set up to help off set the sharp increase in cost of living. Any suggestions on a good area for something like this? Especially for a young person hoping to be close to a good social scene? (If you are familiar with Pittsburgh, the city's Southside Neighborhood is a good example of this.) Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
