Design help on my newest FLIP -- Ideas Please

I am having a little difficulty designing my present flip.  I have a couple of ideas but I want to hear what others think.  I opened the walls up but there's a step up in the living room that is causing me angst.  I would love to hear ideas:

There were walls all the way around.  If the step up wasn't there, I could extend the living room.  The kitchen is to the right of the patio doors.  The present dining room is in front of the patio door.  It was way too small so removal of the first wall extends the dining room.  Removal of the second wall gives a clear path from the front door.

Floor cannot be leveled or raised inexpensively.

Would love to hear any ideas.  Please ask if you need more photos.
