Not sure if a real estate agent can help me.

Hey, guys.  I wanna thank everybody for any help in advance.  I'm not sure if this is the right site or place to post this but I thought I'd give it a shot.

My situation is kind of a unique one so I don't know if a Real Estate Agent can help me out.  So I thought a site for Agents and Investors would be a good place to ask.

I live in New York State.  New York City to be specific.  I own a house with my siblings and I wish to monetize my share as soon as possible.  I'm unemployed and I need the money.

The problem is they don't want to buy me out.  And they don't want to sell the house either.  I've been given legal advice to file a partition action.  But I don't want to take my family to court.

What I really want to do is just sell my share of the house.  A 20% share.  I know it's hard to sell just a share of a house but I'm told it's not impossible if you look for real estate investors?  And I'm told real estate agents can help find such investors?

So I wanted to ask everybody, have the agents here ever sold a piece of a house before?  Have the investors here ever bought a piece of a house before?

And if I"m not mistaken, you don't need your siblings permission to sell your share, right?
