Finally Some Good News

On the news last night: we've been running about 2 years worth of unsold inventory on the market. Inventory has just been reduced to 7 months worth. For 2 months running, there have been more homes sold than any month since 2006.

My area seems to always lag behind the rest of the country. When the economy goes bad, we are the last to suffer, and when the economy picks up, we are the last to recover. So, I am hoping that means the rest of the country is having the same sort of real estate recovery.

7 months inventory means there is actually a small chance of selling a house--- if one can compete with the giveaway prices of the foreclosures, which is pretty hard to do.
