FHA purchase of multi-must they be attached?

So I found this awesome 4 units, all 3 bedroom 2 bath and all units are currently rented. Of course I understand I would have to remove one of the tenants in order to make it primary residence to qualify for FHA, but here is the real question:

The 4 units are on one tax lot, but oddly are all separate number address_it is not like unit A-D, and the units are not attached.  It is like 4 single family houses on one lot.

It seems I read somewhere that to qualify for financing a multi with FHA for the 3.5% down the multi had to be attached. Does anyone know?
